Open for 1:1 teaching & front-end projects

I teach beginners to build — and build websites that ship.

I'm David Rodrigues, a front-end developer based in Seoul. For almost two years I taught front-end development at wcoding — walking absolute beginners from their first HTML tag to a deployed React project. I still do both: teach, and build.

What I do

Two things, done properly.

Whether you're starting from zero or you need a front-end built, the work is the same: fundamentals, clean code, and something real at the end of it.

Teach you front-end

1:1 or small-group lessons in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and React — in English, at your pace, with homework you actually want to finish.

  • — Absolute beginner to first deployed site
  • — Code reviews written like a senior would
  • — Interview prep & portfolio building

Build your project

Marketing sites, portfolios and small web apps built with React and Tailwind — responsive, accessible, and deployed for you.

  • — Design-to-code, pixel-faithful and fast
  • — Netlify / Vercel / S3 + CloudFront deploys
  • — Handover docs your team can follow

Curriculum & team training

Bootcamp-style syllabi, workshop decks and onboarding tracks for teams that need non-developers to get comfortable with code.

  • — Week-by-week lesson plans
  • — Project briefs with clear milestones
  • — Taught in English in Seoul, or online

Teaching

Nearly two years at the front of a classroom.

At wcoding — a coding school in Seoul taught entirely in English — I taught front-end development to students arriving from completely different careers: marketing, law, hospitality, design. Most of them had never opened a terminal.

How I teach
  1. Jun 2022 — Feb 2024 · Seoul

    Frontend Developer Instructor

    wcoding

Taught front-end fundamentals and guided student projects through the school's intensive and introductory tracks.

  2. Before that · wcoding

    Full-Stack Intensive Web

Graduated the full-stack intensive web program myself — which is exactly why I know where beginners get stuck.

  3. 2019 — now · github.com/drodrigues21

    55 public repositories

Client sites, React apps and small vanilla builds — the habit of shipping in public, kept since 2019.

Tell me where you're starting from. I'll tell you honestly what's possible — and what it will take.
